Benchmark Business Solutions Differentiates Itself in a $7 Billion Market
01 01 1970
The rigorous accreditation process required Benchmark to meet Xerox criteria for sales, consulting, operations, workflow development, management, assessment, solution design and growth. Benchmark also had to show it was actually delivering MPS solutions and not a Johnny-come-lately with aspirations but no experience.
"Earning MPS accreditation from Xerox takes time and effort, but it's worth it because it assures customers we can meet their MPS needs," said Jeff Horn, owner and CEO of Benchmark Business Solutions.
Like other outsourcing services, MPS is growing because small and mid-size businesses are choosing to focus on mission-centric functions like sales and customer service—not replacing toner and maintaining printers. MPS can be as simple as toner replenishment or as all-encompassing as managing the equipment and processes needed to archive, share...

BRANCHBURG, N.J. April 03, 2017
A Branchburg, N.J.-based author with Mississippi roots has released his debut southern fiction book. In “What the River Wants,” Arthur Byrd, a retired computer technology executive, explores themes of aging, loyalty, treachery and kinship through an emotionally complex and diverse cast of characters.
In the novel, Byrd, who was raised in Petal, Miss., cements the archetype of traditional southern values into the book’s eclectic cast and their conflicts. “What the River Wants” tells the tale of a teenager’s coming-of-age journey and a grandfather’s grappling with his twilight years through the lens of a fractured south Mississippi family.
“This is a book about ordinary people leading lives of integrity and struggling to find their meaning,” Byrd said. “The dynamics of characters in the book draw from things I sensed around me when I was younger or things I wished I’d found.”
